My Genius

My Genius

I look at the word genius and I think of a highly intelligent person. That has been rewarded for his or hers achievements. But according to Thomas Armstrong "From the standpoint of education, genius means essentially "giving birth to the joy in learning". Including trying is a form of genius. As for his statement and theory on the word genius on the " 12 Qualities of Genius" which includes curiosity, playfulness, imagination. creativity, wonder and wisdom.

I chose imagination as my genius because inventing and coming up with a way of looking at things differently. A person's imagnation shines the light on improvement. Its like drawing a person's face from scratch on paper and it doesn't come out right. So the more the face is drawn that face it tends to look better. Wanting to be better and doing better there's a joy in both those ideas. Thomas Armstrong implies the idea of learning makes a genius.

My genius is my creativeness. Art comes in many different forms but i enjoyed every aspect of it. As a child in school i was introduced to art class but normally i would draw in my house from time to time. school broaden my horizons in expressing myself in another form other then talking. I can recall my first project I was so excited for in elementary school. I guess it may seem as child's play to other but i enjoyed holidays. Helping with decorations like drawing pumpkins for Halloween. Drawing are hands to make turkey's for thanks giving.Even cutting out snow flakes for Christmas to decorate the class. Everyone had there own unique touch to it. I felt mine was the best and I enjoyed doing it. I felt lilke I was my own person. After that day me and art has been best friends. If it not singing, dancing, drawing or editing pictures.Art is my Genius.
